Is your business future ready?

A new era of creative destruction and innovation is upon us. Businesses need to make changes NOW, if they’re to capitalise in this world of rapid change and digital disruption in the future. In the so-called ‘VUCA’ environment, the need to adapt at pace has never been more pressing.

This two-day masterclass will equip you with the knowledge and strategies to capitalise on the opportunity. It provides actionable intelligence to implement immediately in the key areas of change management, organisational design, skills and training.

New technology needs new thinking, new business models and new action

Fifty years ago, the life expectancy of a firm in the Fortune 500 was around 75 years. Today, it’s less than 15 years and declining all the time. Those that succeed in times of change can move as one, and take advantage of new disruptive technologies to transform their products, services and operational models, creating new innovations and competitive advantages.

Ask yourself:

  • Are you worried about the impact of disruptive technology, but not sure where to focus?
  • Is your company struggling with the challenge of strategic alignment?
  • Are you caught in a doom-loop of short-termism, cost-cutting, employee disengagement and limited innovation?
  • Could nimbler, hungrier and more agile digital competitors take away your business?
  • Are you in danger of being Amazoned?

Winning in the 21st century

This two-day Masterclass is based on cutting-edge strategies and research from Manucore’s globally recognised thought leader, Sean Culey. Attendees will be introduced to the technologies that are likely to have the greatest impact on their industries. They will learn how to assess their impact how their business can leverage them for future success.

Who will benefit:

If your role involves ensuring the business continues to be profitable and successful moving forwards, then this masterclass is for you. Current attendees include CEOs, COOs, Transformation Leads, Supply Chain Directors and heads of departments.

What will I get?

  • Determine which of the disruptive technologies will have the biggest impact on your industry
  • Understand how to create a future-proof business model
  • Understand how companies like Amazon use technology to disrupt industries
  • Learn how to drive greater customer-centricity and develop value propositions that create competitive advantage
  • Learn how to segment your business models and value chains around customer delight
  • Gain deep insights into the business drivers, risks and rewards from preparing for disruption

The masterclass contains a series of compelling cases studies, interactive exercises and personal objectives that require deep thought about how these new technologies will impact your business, whether your business model is an opportunity or a threat, and how your organisation can transform and thrive in the coming years.

By the end of the two days, attendees will have a clear series of questions and actions to take back into their business, and the basis of a personalised action plan for the future.

  • Day 1 - Section 1: New Technologies

Creative Destruction in Action: The Rise of the PAL Supply Chain.

This opening section examines the nature of technological revolutions and the variety of different technologies that are disrupting business models, industries and economies.

We will examine how the wave of new technologies – robotics, autonomous vehicles, 3D and 4D printing, big data, the IoT and Artificial Intelligence – is rapidly changing every aspect of business, from sourcing materials to capturing real-time demand signals, and how this is creating the PAL (Personal, Automated and Local) Value Chain.

  • Day 1 - Section 2: New Challenges

The Triple Threat of Technological Convergence

This section explores the disruption that these technologies will cause, and what happens when they converge together.

It delves into the impact of disruptive technologies on industries, the rise of the sharing and subscription economy and how software is eating the world. You will examine how these disruptive technologies will impact your business model, and which technology is a threat, and which is an opportunity.

  • Day 2 - Section 3: New Thinking

Different realities need different thinking. Smart machines need smart people.

Day two will examine whether your business is structured for the 21st century. This will include a discussion on strategy, value chain segmentation, corporate culture, creating agile innovation teams and a workplace designed to attract and retain the talent of the future.

We will examine how to create customer-centric value propositions that create virtuous cycles for your business, but vicious circles for your competition. It includes an examination of how Amazon has used this techniques to disrupt the retail world.

  • Day 2 - Section 4: New Actions

Strategy needs execution. Innovation needs action.

This last section examines what your business needs to do to be ready for the next wave. It examines whether your company is able to change, break the curse of short-term thinking, achieve strategic alignment and overcome the status quo before it is too late.

Finally we will look at the leadership and people skills needed to traverse this change, and how to transform the workforce into T-shaped, agile teams focused on creating a culture of continuous execution.
